Yarmouth Recreation provides recreational programming and services for the residents of both the Town of Yarmouth and the Municipality of Yarmouth.

 1. Are there summer jobs available and how do I apply?

Summer jobs are posted on our website and you can apply by dropping off your resume at the Yarmouth Recreation Office located at 932 Hwy #1 in Hebron.  You can also send your resume by email or mail it to Yarmouth Recreation, 932 Highway 1, Hebron, NS  B5A 5Z5.

 2. How do I register for sporting activities in the community?

Yarmouth Recreation helps the following sports organizations by taking registrations for Yarmouth Minor Hockey, Yarmouth Minor Soccer, Yarmouth Minor Baseball, Yarmouth Co-Ed Slo Pitch, Yarmouth County Minor Basketball, etc.

 3. How do I reserve a classroom or gym?

We take community bookings for gyms, cafeterias and classrooms for the following schools: Carleton Consolidated School, Maple Grove Education Centre, Meadowfields Community School and Port Maitland Consolidated School.  The cost is $11.50 per hour. 

4. How do I obtain a receipt for activities my child participated in?

A receipt is issued each time payment is made for one of our programs. Please retain your receipts for income tax purposes.  A duplicate receipt can be printed as well. 

5. Where are the day camps located and what are the hours of operation?

Sports Camp is located at Maple Grove Education Centre in Hebron for children ages 9-12, Summer Fun Day Camp is located at Meadowfields School gym for children ages 5-8, and at the Yarmouth South Playground for children ages 5-12.  Summer Fun Day Camp and Sports Camp are open Monday through Friday from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm.  Early drop off is 8:15 am and late pick up is 4:45 pm.  Yarmouth South Playground is open from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm.  The playground is a FREE program.

  6.  Are there funding programs for children's sports and leisure programs?  How to I apply? 

Kidsport and Jumpstart Programs are available for children to help them participate in an activity when the cost of the activity may be an issue.  All applications can be completed online.
