The Municipality of the District of Yarmouth (MODY), is pleased to announce that the expansion of the Hebron Maintenance Building at 107 Cemetery Rd., is now complete. The expansion not only consists of a new 3,121 sq. ft. Public Works garage, it also includes significant improvements to the existing facility.

The new garage provides indoor storage and maintenance areas which increases efficiencies and addresses important health and safety issues for our Public Works team. The upgrades to the Recreation space include increased insulation, additional heat and electrical upgrades such as emergency lighting; also addressing health and safety issues for the Yarmouth Recreation maintenance team.

The prime contractor for this successful project was Graham Construction Ltd. All subcontractors were also local firms.

In summarizing the project, Warden Anthony stated, “This project has taken a great deal of time to bring to reality. The resulting structure balances the financial implications with the operational needs for best practices in service delivery. It achieves the over-arching stewardship goals of the municipality and honors the newly approved Asset Management Policy”.

The public are invited to attend the opening ceremonies to be held at the facility on March 10, 2020. The building will be open for public viewing from 4:00 to 6:00pm with the opening ceremony to take place at 5:00pm.
