Yarmouth Recreation provides recreation programming and services for the residents of both the Town of Yarmouth and Municipality of Yarmouth.

1. Are there summer jobs available and how do I apply?

Summer jobs are posted on our website and you can apply by dropping off your resume at the Yarmouth Recreation Office located at 932 Hwy #1 in Hebron, by emailing your resume to This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. 2. How do I register for sporting activities in the community?

Yarmouth Recreation helps the following sports organizations by taking registrations for Yarmouth Minor Hockey, Yarmouth Minor Soccer, Yarmouth Minor Baseball, Yarmouth Co-Ed Slo Pitch, Yarmouth County Minor Basketball, etc.

3. How do I reserve a classroom or gym?

We take community bookings for gyms, cafeterias and classrooms for the following schools: Carleton Consolidated School, Maple Grove Education Centre, Meadowfields Community School and Port Maitland Consolidated School.  The cost is $10.00 per hour. 

4. How do I obtain a receipt for activities my child participated in?

A receipt is issued each time payment is made for one of our programs. Please retain your receipts for income tax purposes.

5. Where are the day camps located and what are the hours of operation?

Summer Fun Day Camp is located at Maple Grove Education Centre in Hebron for children ages 5 - 8, Sports Camp is located at the Yarmouth Junior High gym for children ages 9 - 12, and at the Yarmouth South Playground for children up to the age of 12. Summer Fun Day Camp and Sports Camp are open Monday through Friday from 9:00 am to 4:00 p.m. Early drop off is 8:15 a.m. and late pick up is 4:45 p.m. Yarmouth South Playground is open from 9:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. There is a very minimal charge if the children are going by bus to a beach, etc., otherwise the playground is FREE. All of our Day Camps are supervised.

6. What is the Kids First Fund? How do I apply?

The Kids First Fund is available for children to help them participate in an activity when the cost of the activity may be an issue. An application form can be downloaded from our website. We can also email a copy, mail a copy or one can be picked up at our office. Each application will be reviewed as it is received by our office.
